Short description: The mastered scope of the material will enable the students to make practical use of the technical and technological capabilities of machinery and equipment used in modern agriculture in the field of plant protection products. In addition, knowledge of the topic covered enables us to obtain the right to use plant protection products, to inspect the equipment for the application of plant protection products and to carry out advisory activities within that scope.
Full description: The method of chemical plant protection. Classification and construction of equipment for chemical pesticides. The principle of operation of basic assemblies and use sprayers. Principles for the plant protection treatment in the production field. Principles for the plant protection treatment in orchard production, vegetable and grown under protection Cyclic testing sprayers tractor and diagnostics equipment. Development trends in plant protection technology research methodologies outline of apparatus for use in plant protection products. The basic safety rules when using pesticides.

Learning outcomes: Learning outcomes In terms of knowledge: 1. Student has a detailed knowledge of the field of agricultural engineering including machinery and agricultural vehicles, storage and processing of agricultural crops. 2. Student has knowledge of technological processes in plant and animal production and rural farm infrastructure. In terms of skills: 1. Student has the ability to design new and supervise existing processes and production and operating systems in the field of agricultural production engineering. In terms of social competences: 1. Student is aware of the importance of further training and self-improvement in the management and engineering of agricultural production and understands the need for lifelong learning to improve the skills acquired during the course of study. 2. Student is aware of the importance of social, professional and ethical responsibility for the actions taken that influence the shaping and condition of the environment.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: Grade obtained at classes (60%) + grade obtained at lectures (40%).
